Dr. Kate Strachan has been working as a Consultant in Sports and Exercise Medicine at NUH since 2006.
Prior to this Dr. Strachan completed a General Practice Vocational Training Scheme and Fellowship in Sports and Exercise Medicine. Currently Dr. Strachan undertakes both adult and children’s clinics within Queen’s Medical Centre, and an adult clinic in the community. Dr. Strachan also works part-time for the English Institute of Sport as the Lead Sports Physician in the Midlands where she works with a number of different Olympic sports including canoeing, para-canoe, swimming and triathlon.
Dr. Strachan is one of the medical officers for the Great Britain Rowing team, and recently worked as part of the medical team for the Canoe Slalom Team at London 2012. Dr Strachan was also part of the Commonwealth Games team in Delhi 2010, principally with the English Gymnastics team.
